Super foods – Custard Apple

Trevor shows a group of fruits that have amazing claims attached to them.

  • Custard apples look nothing like an apple however, they have the sweet texture of custard. Custard apples are delicious and serve as a great natural energy booster.
  • Rollinia is a species of flowering plant in the custard-apple family. They grow best on well-drained sandy loam. Favouring tropical climates, temperatures as low as three degrees Celsius will kill young trees.
  • Soursop fruit is a form of custard apple that is consumed as dessert, the fruit contains significant amounts of vitamin C, vitamin B1 and vitamin B2.
