  • Rare Foods Australia discovered the legendary method of storing wine along the seabed from reports of sunken ships holding champagne that went for extremely high prices.
  • The science found that the barometric pressure underwater gave the wine an opportunity to undergo a secondary fermentation that gave it flavour dimensions that could not be replicated in other wine cellars.
  • Rare Foods Australia received their liquor license and very quickly began to lead Australia in the unique process of Ocean Cellaring. They now work on collaboration projects, including the award-winning Glenarty Road and Edwards Wineries, fielding a lot of public interest in the Margaret River wine region.
  • The Ocean Pantry is their first retail venture at Augusta Boat Harbour, offering a showcase of their innovations and enabling the general public to purchase their products. Additionally, they offer full cafe service at the Ocean Pantry.
  • The Ocean Pantry offers tours at their venue, including collaborations of local Whale Watching and Bus Tours, plus tours to the highly popular Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse, located on the same road as the Boat Harbour.
